HikGateway integration

A remote-device platform that lets Hikvision devices behind NAT and firewalls connect to the cloud, with no inbound exposure at customer sites.

What I built

  • Devices open persistent, encrypted outbound ISUP connections to a cloud-hosted HikGateway, so customer sites need no static IP and no inbound ports.
  • HikGateway is the control plane: it handles device registration, session lifecycle, status monitoring and events.
  • Backend services manage devices, read events and send control commands through HikGateway's ISAPI interfaces over HTTPS, without touching the devices directly.
  • The design is outbound-only, TLS-encrypted, network-isolated and API-driven, which suits large multi-tenant deployments.
